The classic leisure-player “Train Run” developer, Sybo, has launched a permanent race-off model for the game, which is one of the most significant updates of the game since it was launched in 2012.

This new model, entitled “Showdown”, will be launched globally on March 30, allowing players to confront directly at real-time speeds with the goal of scoring and earning progress rewards. Sybo stated that the fight model was based on a strong community response to the time-bound model of the game, which was launched in 2025 during the fight against the wild.

The play-by-play method allows up to six players to compete at a fast pace simultaneously, in which timing, location and the use of props affect the end result. In the course of the race, players can collect mysterious treasure boxes that can interfere with their opponents or create counterattack opportunities, adding more tactics to the traditional endless game. This update will be launched in conjunction with the Irish Easter season of the game, from 30 March to 19 April, with time-bound incentives, including new roles and thematic pacifiers called “Lily”.

Chief Executive Officer Sybo Mathias Gredal Nørvig said: “Our community has been demanding the introduction of a multi-person model, and after seeing the resonance of the time-limited version of the campaign with the Wilds, we realize that it is time to bring a permanent competitive experience to the game. The duel added a whole new pacing point to the subway, while preserving the fast rhythm that players know and love.”
